Dying Matters Week 2024
Taking place from 6 - 12 May, Dying Matters Week encourages people to get communities talking in a way they're most comfortable with. The focus this year is 'The way we talk about Dying Matters’, focusing on the conversations and language used around death and dying. Join us at Watford General Hospital on 8 May to talk about the benefits of Advance Care Planning when you or a loved one has a life-limiting illness.

Sue Varvel had been a nurse with the charity since the early days of Iain Rennie Hospice at Home, when she retired she was Rennie Grove’s Director of Nursing & Clinical Services. Unfortunately, Sue was diagnosed with a life-limiting illness in 2022 and was cared for by Rennie Grove Peace. Following in her mum’s footsteps, Becky started working as a Hospice at Home nurse with the charity in 2014. Becky tells her mum’s story.
